What is “Grid Theory” and why is it important to web design?
- Grid Theory is based on the importance of proportions. It presents the idea of Rule of Thirds which provides a structural foundation that makes web design more effective. The importance of Grid Theory is that will provide you a good, strong design for web.
In addition to “balance”, what are the other design principles important also to Web Design?
- There are several other design principles that add to a strong web design. These include, repetition, emphasis, isolation, proximity, placement, continuance, contrast and finally, unity.
What are the “Bread and Butter Layouts” in web design?
- The most common layouts used in web design include, left-column navigation, right-column navigation, expansive footer navigation and three columns with content first.

- Audience: Anyone who wants to order books or items from the store.
